Cloning, also known as Cellular mitosis, is a technique to make exact genetic copies of living things.

Stem cells can be used for cloning. (SG1: "Nightwalkers") The Asgard reproduce by cloning their bodies and transferring their consciousnesses into the when their bodies fail. (SG1: "Revelations")

The Asgard have been relying on cloning for over 30,000 years. (SG1: "Revelations") The Wraith obtained Zero Point Modules from the Lanteans and used them to power a cloning facility in order to make more soldiers that they used to overpower the Lanteans. (SGA: "Spoils of War") The Asgard Loki would abduct Tau'ri and replace them with a clone for a week before switching them back and letting the clone die. (SG1: "Fragile Balance") The Reetou Mother cloned a Human son to serve as an intermediary between the Reetou Central authority and Earth, doubling the size of his reticular formation in his brain so he could see and hear Mother. (SG1: "Show and Tell") Immunitech Research obtained samples from the Goa'uld that Adrian Conrad purchased and used it along with stem cells to clone the symbiote, but it had no Naquadah in its blood. The symbiotes began taking over and cloning more of themselves. (SG1: "Nightwalkers")

Loki created a clone of Jack O'Neill but the Asgard had placed protections on O'Neill's DNA that prevented the clone from maturing past the age of 15. The clones genetic structure was repaired and he aged at a normal rate. (SG1: "Fragile Balance") A Rogue NID cell used Goa'uld DNA from Sekhmet to make human-Goa'uld hybrids, culminating in Anna. (SG1: "Resurrection") A Colson Industries biotech subsidiary was given Asgard DNA for sequencing and they continued work and cloned an Asgard body. (SG1: "Covenant") When Ba'al began hiding on Earth, he used cloning techniques to make multiple versions of himself. One of the clones was captured by the Free Jaffa Nation and executed. (SG1: "Ex Deus Machina") Michael Kenmore create a clone of [[Carson Beckett (clone)|Carson Beckett] but he was unstable and required weekly injections to maintain his genetic structure. Michael also made him susceptible to his mental influence. (SGA: "The Kindred, Part 2") The Vanir were able to solve some of the genetic degradation they were experiencing by experimenting on humans in the Pegasus galaxy. (SGA: "The Lost Tribe")
