Naquadah is a quartz mineral.

Naquadah is classified as a heavy metal. (SG1: "Desperate Measures") A liquid version of Naquadah exists. (SG1: "The Fifth Race") When a Nuclear bomb, or another explosive device, is combined with a shipment of Naquadah its destructive force is increased many times. (Stargate, SG1: "Nemesis") Naquadah does not decay in the same way that Plutonium does when used for power generation. (SG1: "Nemesis") The Goa'uld and Tok'ra have naquadah in their blood which ends up in their hosts, allowing them to use certain technologies such as the Hand device. (SG1: "Thor's Chariot") Former hosts can sense the presence of a symbiote due to the Naqudah in their blood, unless they are adequately sedated. (SG1: "In the Line of Duty", "Need", "Out of Mind") Naquadah generators use naquadah to produce power. (SG1: "Learning Curve") Weapons grade Naquadah is incredibly dense. (SG1: "Upgrades") The Osiris and Isis jars contained a Naquadah power source that provide a small electrical charge. (SG1: "The Curse") There is an unstable, radioactive version called Naquadria. (SG1: "Meridian") Symbiotes cloned using human Stem cells did not have Naquadah in their blood. (SG1: "Nightwalkers")

Purification processed for Naquadah produce toxic fumes. (SG1: "Orpheus") Certain subatomic particles can cause Naquadah to be converted into Naquadria with any left over breaking down into other elements. After thousands of years the Naquadria converts back into Naquadah, also producing Deuterium and Helium during this process. (SG1: "Fallout") Naquadah is used as a currency. (SG1: "The Ties That Bind")

The Stargate was constructed using this mineral. The Goa'uld evolved at some point to have Naquadah in their blood. (SG1: "The First Ones") Ra used the Abydonians to mine Naquadah on Abydos for him. (Stargate) Dr. Wilhelm Brücke was offered Naquadah by Aset in exchange for slaves, he believed the mineral was the mythical "Vril". (SGO: "Episode 7") Cassandra Fraiser had a small amount of Naquadah in her blood from the bomb that was growing inside her. (SG1: "Singularity") The Goa'uld-buster weapon uses a supply of Naquadah to increase its destructive yield. (SG1: "The Serpent's Lair") Edora had Naquadah throughout its soil that was thrown up when the planet was hit by meteors. One meteor hit the Stargate which formed a hardened Naquadah shell over the gate. A Particle beam generator was used to destroy the shell. (SG1: "A Hundred Days") The Asgard created an alloy that had Naquadah in it. (SG1: "Small Victories") When SG-1 were wearing the Atoniek Armbands and were destroying Apophis' new battleship, Daniel Jackson went to collect a shipment of weapons grade Naquadah, but the armband stopped working and he was unable to carry it anymore. (SG1: "Upgrades")

Amounts of Naquadah in the soil of a planet that a Naquadah bomb was tested on, caused the planet to become a superheated ball of plasma. (SG1: "Chain Reaction") The Goa'uld sent an asteroid with a core of Naquadah on a collision course with Earth knowing that any explosion to destroy the asteroid would cause a bigger detonation and destroy Earth anyway. (SG1: "Fail Safe") Kytano raided one of Nirrti's planets and recovered some weapons grade Naquadah, some which he used in a Naquadah bomb. (SG1: "The Warrior") Mot took control of P4S-237 and had the people continue to mine Naquadah, telling them it was being given to Ba'al. (SG1: "Prophecy") A mining operation on P3X-403 discovered a large deposit of Naquadah and after negotiations with the local Unas population, the Unas offered to mine it for them as it would be used to fight the Goa'uld. (SG1: "Enemy Mine")

Ba'al, while hiding on Earth, had a building constructed and had Naquadah including in the structure to be used as a bomb in the event he was found out. The entire building as beamed into space in order to detonate safely. (SG1: "Ex Deus Machina") Arkad had supplies of weapons grade Naquadah set up as part of an attack on Earth. One of the supplies was destroyed and another on Earth was recovered. (SG1: "Family Ties")
