SG-1 and Jacob Carter find themselves in another galaxy with a 125-year journey home that none of them would survive and to make matters worse, Apophis arrives after them. Saved by an unknown ship, they flee only to come back and find Apophis' ship mysteriously abandoned.

After discovering an advanced energy weapon on another planet, Carter collapses and is sent home to rest. She encounters an energy being in her home that tells her he followed her back through the Stargate and learns that they are responsible for the weapon.

Carter is kidnapped by people who want to know how she survived after having a symbiote in her. O'Neill teams up with Maybourne to find her and learns that Maybourne helped sell a Goa'uld symbiote held by the Russians to a dying billionaire.

As an alien ship is detected heading for Earth, SG-1 go to check on Martin Lloyd who is producing a TV show that is very similar to the exploits of Stargate Command and SG-1. The ship is found to be the one Martin and his people came to Earth aboard.

SG-1 take part in helping to train new recruits to Stargate Command. O'Neill discovers that the SGC has been taken over by an alien device and has no choice but to take the new recruits with him to help take back the base and save Earth.

Escaping from a Goa'uld attack, Teal'c doesn't arrive with the rest of SG-1 back on Earth. When dialing back to the planet, they discover that Teal'c has become trapped within the Stargate's energy buffer and any wormhole that connects will erase him.

As the System Lords prepare to meet Jackson and Jacob Carter head there to enact a plan to take them all out. The rest of SG-1 end up trapped on Revanna with the Tok'ra as the Goa'uld launch a massive attack to wipe them out.

When the plan to take out the System Lords is scrapped as it would allow Anubis to gain full control over the Goa'uld, Jackson works on a plan to save Sarah Gardner. SG-1 must evade Goa'uld forces on Revanna and prevent the symbiote poison formula for being taken.

While on a mission to Latona, SG-9 fail to make contact and the SGC learns the planet has been invaded by the Goa'uld. The Sentinel, their powerful defense weapon, doesn't work anymore and SG-1 must recruit captured Rogue NID members who messed with it in order to repair it.

SG-1 meet the Kelownans who possess a unique form of Naquadah they are using to build a bomb. Jackson stops an explosion and receives a fatal dose of radiation. As he dies the rest of the team try to help him and he is visited by Oma Desala who offers to help him ascend.

SG-1 are approached by the Asgard about helping rescue a trapped scientist and are informed that Thor was killed in battle with the Goa'uld. After finding the scientist, they are told that Thor is still alive and is a prisoner of the Goa'uld. Anubis arrives to begin interrogating Thor.
