Function

Killing symbiotes

Symbiote poison is a poison that kills symbiotes.

Overview

The poison is a gas and is potent enough to kill a lot of symbiote with such a small amount. It will kill Goa'uld, Tok'ra and Jaffa, killing the hosts as well due to the symbiotes releasing a toxin as they die. (SG1: "Summit") The gas appears to affect those controlled by Goa'uld first and then Jaffa, overcoming them with pain before killing them within seconds. (SG1: "Endgame")

History

The Tok'ra developed this poison as a solution to ending the Goa'uld. Daniel Jackson was given their only supply to be used to kill the System Lords at a summit but the plan was changed. The poison was given to Lt. Elliot, who had been taken as a host by Lantash who could not heal Elliots injuries and the two were dying. Elliot was taken away and used the poison to take out Zipacna's forces. (SG1: "Summit") Area 51 started manufacturing symbiote poison to use in the event that Earth was invaded. (SG1: "Zero Hour") The Trust obtained symbiote poison and began using it against Goa'uld worlds and killed millions. (SG1: "Endgame") After leaving Earth, the Trust launched two more symbiote poison attacks before they were captured. (SG1: "Full Alert") Symbiote poison was used against a facility on Earth that Ba'al was hiding at but he escaped. (SG1: "Ex Deus Machina") The poison was pumped into several levels of the SGC when Ba'al clones took control, killing a few of them before the others escaped. (SG1: "Insiders") Ba'al used symbuite poison to kill several of his clones, along with their Jaffa. (SG1: "Dominion")
